Tax System in Mauritius
All companies incorporated in Mauritius must produce financial summaries to be filed with FSC (Financial Services Commission) on an annual basis.
Financial summary must be filed within 6 months after the end of the financial year.
Example : if the year end of the company is 31st of December then the financial summaries must be filed before the 30th June.
If the financial year end of a company is 30th June then the financial summaries must be filed before 31st December.
If not submitted within the prescribed time frame a penalty for late filing will apply (10 USD per day excluding Saturdays and Sundays)
Company accounts need to be filed up to date for all companies, should they have any activity or not.
- Bookkeeping;
- Balance sheet & Financial statements; and
- Filing with Mauritius authorities.
