Belize Overhauls Fees, Minimum Capital Req's

Belize's International Financial Services Commission has issued a regulation to update offshore company and trust fees and raise the minimum initial capital requirement for forex brokers and financial and commodity-based derivatives traders.
 
The minimum initial capital requirement for forex brokers and financial and commodity-based derivatives traders has risen to BZD500,000 (USD250,000), up from BZD100,000.

The annual license fee for offshore companies and trusts is BZD2,500, with an BZD1,000 application fee. The International Financial Services Commission (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 2016, also contains a schedule of fees and minimum capital requirements for other types of regulated entities. The Regulations will enter into force from April 1, 2016.
